Just got back from Thenewno2 at the Key Club earlier tonight. It’s the 3rd time I’ve seen them (second at the Key Club) and it was another great show. The music is a cross between Portishead, Pink Floyd, and something else I can’t quite put my finger on, but it rocks. For the most part, the songs are very relaxing and downtempo, great chill out music- gorgeous psychedelic rock. But there is also an occasional burst of aggressive, edgy energy that is irresistibly enjoyable. The point is- check them out! Sorry, I could probably write a lot more about them but it’s almost 3 in the morning and I have to wake up for work in 5 hours…
