Latin Dose (9/11/08)

Hello everyone! You may find yourself driving through the Los Angeles streets and saying to yourself “what is that infectious music that I can’t understand?” Well it may be that you are listening to the sounds of some of the great artists in the Latin music genre THAT YOU HAVEN’T DISCOVERED YET! Well hopefully I can cure that…
Who knows maybe you’ll be singing along to the car next to you the next time you drive through Echo Park…
The first artist I would like to introduce to you to is Jaguares from Mexico City. These rockers have been touring and making albums almost non-stop for 10 years. Although still young as a band they have roots in the Rock en Espanol genre that go back over 20 years with the band Caifanes. They continue to produce radio friendly pop-rock songs that echo the sounds of their good friends Mana & Soda Stereo. Their most recent single from their sixth studio album, “45”, is titled Visible and has been burning up the Latin airwaves. 45 is currently holding the number three position on the Billboard Latin pop charts and is one of the most requested songs on the Los Angeles radio station Super Estrella 107.1. With heavy touring in support of their latest endeavor, Jaguares has been known to put on high energy shows and fill venues and stadiums throughout the world. Take a listen and catch them next time they’re in town…
