He’s back!
Beto Cuevas, lead singer of La Ley and now solo artist has made his return with Miedo Escenico from Warner Music Mexico. After dominating the Latin pop culture and touring and recording for over 15 years with La Ley, the Chilean band decided to call it quits. Fans were unsure what was to happen to the star of La Ley and Latin rock icon Beto Cuevas. He made his return in 2005, but not in music, Beto made his acting debut in the Chilean/Mexican film La Mujer de Mi Hermano and went on to star in the film Borderland in 2007. Rumors of his return to the stage were left fluttering around until February of 2008 where he embarked on a headlining tour to unveil new material from his solo project along with La Ley classics. After three years of absence Beto returned to sell out large venues throughout major Latin markets like Los Angeles, New York and Chicago and releasing a most requested single to radio airwaves. His solo album has the classic La Ley melody and Beto’s unique singing style, but manages to keep a fresh take on Latin rock in a genre that has seen so much growth since his La Ley days. Enjoy everyone I know I am.
