The world’s most controversial pop-star!

This week I bring to you the biggest comeback in music, and one that would make Britney’s comeback look like a walk in the park. Her name is Gloria Tevi and at the height of her career she was caught in the middle of a scandal between her husband, herself, and a lot of young, racy photos. The details of the scandal can be found all over the web. After serving over a combined 4 years in jail in two different continents she wasted no time in getting back in the studio and releasing an album. She made it a point to reinvent herself and her image and with much surprise the public accepted. Now she is back on top with her two back-to-back album releases in 2007 and 2008 and has toured throughout the world at a rapid pace. Gloria Trevi’s latest album Una Rosa Blu has gone certified Platinum in both the U.S. and Mexico and her recent tour has packed arenas and theatres. The highly publicized scandal was followed by a highly publicized comeback.  She is clearly concentrated on her music and her fans now. To date, her two albums have put out monster hits on the radio and many more club favorites in Latin America. In her 20 year pop career she has managed to be declared as the “Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop” and has proven that her music is what keeps fans listening and not the scandal. Enjoy the tracks below and catch her in town this coming weekend!
