Providing production, the consistently on-point NO-ID is as great as ever. Can you tell I’m digging this one?

Lana Del Rey’s major label debut was a big hit but I didn’t get too into it. I will admit that Born To Die is a very interesting album and definitely worth a listen. Personally, I’m just not that crazy about Lana Del Rey’s sound. I am, however, crazy about this RAC remix of “Blue Jeans”, one of the more popular tracks from Born To Die. Anyone else think Lana Del Rey looks a bit like Hermione from Harry Potter?

Loving this track from AlunaGeorge. “You Know You Like It” is electro-soul at it’s finest, fitting right in with Little Dragon, Quadron, King, and Georgia Anne Muldrow among others.

Band of Skulls have perfected an edgy, aggressive sound that really strikes a chord with me. ”Sweet Sour” is the title and lead track off their new album which was released less than a month ago. This song has been stuck in my head since I first heard it and I love it. These guys really rock.

Rick Rubin is one of the most diverse and accomplished producers in music. He’s got an incredible ear, unique style, and wide-ranging taste which spans across a variety of genres. Rubin’s remix of Justice’s “On’n'On” shows just how natural it is for the prolific producer to adapt his sound to fit any genre, specifically with electronic music here.
