A message from Little…

Here are a couple of great remixes I recently came across. The first is of the PNAU song “Embrace” which features Ladyhawke who also does the second song. Its a nice little spin on the original song and a good listen.

The second song is a remix of an already great Ladyhawke song – “My Delirium”. Check out the video of the original song if you want to see a really cool original video. Sort of reminds me of the A-ha video “Take On Me” because of the animation.

I’ll post some more sometime soon. Enjoy, people.

So I haven’t been around for blips n beats for quite some time now. Mainly I’ve been way too busy to keep up. Im a single, successful guy, what can I say?
I will try to keep up with my posts much more often now but I have decided I won’t take forever trying to write something witty or over the top informative about the songs. Frankly I have way too many recreational drugs to do and not enough time. If you like them, dig them and find out more on your own, or ask me via comments and Ill be sure to tell you more.

Spoon – Monkey Feelings
This is a semi-unreleased song ( I say semi because it was put on a companion CD/Single to was a limited release.) The song was released at the same time as the Gimmie Fiction album and has that same sound but is better then most any of the songs on the album in my opinion. Spoon always comes with the hits and this song is no exception.

Daniel Merriweather ft Wale – Change
Daniel Merriweather is a Mark Ronson produced artist along with Wale. Ronson has been doing a lot of work with these two individually and Merriweather appeared on Wale’s Mixtape About Nothing (which is excellent if you haven’t heard it.) The song has Ronson written all over it with the horns and big band sound. Wale comes in with a brief yet solid verse near the end. If you haven’t heard of Wale check him out for sure, I have both his mixtapes if interested. He’s the best rapper out there right now in my opinion that hasn’t blown up huge. Check it out…

MSTRKRFT – Heartbreaker
For those that aren’t familiar with MSTRKRFT, they are two Canadian producers/DJ’s that make great electronic music and awesome remixes for groups like Wolfmother, Bloc Party and Death From Above 1979 (who one of the two members was in.) They just released their new album Fist of God a week ago and it has some great tracks on it and collaborations. The release party was held at the Roxy last Monday and I heard it was a great show, although I was too lame to leave the apartment and make it out due to a morally crippling weekend of partying. This track is with John Legend and is just an all around great track. Check out the song “It Ain’t Love” too and look them up playing Saturday at Coachella- should be an awesome set as they never disappoint and really get everyone going.

TV on the Radio – Ambulance
This is an old song but one of my favorites. One of the most beautiful yet simple and creative love songs of all time in my opinion. The vocal harmony and do whop feel of it really set it apart from a lot of other songs and continue to prove that TVOTR are one of the most original and innovative bands out there right now. Play this song often and enjoy.
