In case anybody wants some good rock for the rest of the week, here are some solid tracks…
Nashville based The Features are backed by the Kings of Leon, which is nice. They tote instant sing-a-longs, bluesy lead, and even echoes of Jeff Lyne come through on ‘GMF.’
MP3: The Features – “GMF”
Band of Skulls are buzzing LA in a major way. Garage grit and bluesy howls from across the pond seem like Jack White had 3 illegitimate kids back in his early Stripes days. Look out for The Bends in ‘Fires.’

Gliss is that electro shoegaze sound that can just as easily rock you to sleep as it can your ass and face…off. Where are Travolta and Cage when you need em? In drag and searching for treasure I guess. Terrence and Phillip will help you out Nicky…
MP3: Gliss – “29 Acts of Love”
MP3: Gliss – “Beauty”
I cannot stop listening to Saint Motel. Their cross-bred Indie trends and tongue in cheek lyrics make for one hip mutt. Absinthe already turned you on to ‘Dear Dictator’ on the top songs of ’09 so far, so here are a couple more.
